
New Expressionist and Mural Artist
Marise studied MA Art and Design and B.A (Hon) Fine Art at the University of Barcelona, Spain and B.A (Hon) Graphic Design at the University of Central Lancashire, UK. Her new-expressionist style of painting portrays mainly landscapes where lines and colours combined capture freely part of the scenes she has in front of her. Marise has been an inspirational Lecturer and an Art Educator in Spain and England since 1998, teaching in different sectors: Mainstream, SEN, EBD, Independent schools, Universities and Colleges as well as delivering Art therapy in sectors like Hospital Outreach Education, HMP and Charities. She has had a varied and strong experience as a teacher: One of her first jobs was being a Lecturer during three years in La Llotja, Barcelona, a Centre were Pablo Picasso was a student. Whilst another position she really enjoyed was being the Head of Department during 7 year in a prestigious Independent School, in England, building a very successful department, introducing for the fist time A level and two new creative endorsements, which doubled the numbers of students achieving one of the highest grades in the County. She has also been an OCR Art and Design Moderator since 2009. As a painter, she has done several international exhibitions. Her most recent work is a collection of large murals in public places of the beautiful city of Albarracin.
